Wherein stuff! is tumbled. A tumblelog by Karl Gunnarsson.

Oh, and I also edit a photography blog here on Tumblr called 1/125. Go check it out.

If you're looking for ultimate enlightenment you'd be doing yourself a grave disservice by asking me about stuff.

Zorki-4 (via Karl Gunnarsson)

My other broken film camera. Probably just in need of some cleaning, lubricating and adjusting but I don’t fancy doing it myself. Big risk that buying another one would be more cost efficient but I’m being a bit sentimental now. The fact that it looks smashing in that photo doesn’t help*.

Still, I’m pondering whether I’ll get another Zorki-4, if my attempts to have it repaired fail, or perhaps a Fed-2. There are a few interesting Soviet alternatives.

Or, somebody will offer to sell me a good condition Canonet QL17 GIII at an appealing price. Anybody?

*) No magic involved, just an old SB-26 flash on the camera set to Auto – no TTL! – bounced off the wall to the right and a big white envelope positioned to the left of the camera as a reflector. It still looks damn sweet, doesn’t it?
